Assault is an offense we all heard of and we think is hitting someone and causing an injury. Well that’s true!
It is. Hitting someone and causing injury is assault but there are also some other definitions:
- Cause bodily injury is assault.
- Threatening someone with imminent bodily injury is assault.
- Causing physical contact with someone knowing that person is offensive or provocative, can be assault.
Now this isn’t innocently bumping in someone and touching them. This is knowingly and intentionally, touching someone there were regarded offensively and provocative.
