What to Say to the Police: Kids Edition

Hi, I’m Jay Cohen from Blass Law, and I wanna talk about, What to Say to the Police: Kids Edition.

We all want our kids to be successful out of prison. The reality is kids are gonna do stupid things. And the days of cops bringing them home to get whooped by their parents are over. Chances are they’re going to jail.

We looked on the Google and found that one in three people had been arrested by the age of 23. That’s a big number. So let’s teach our kids what to do today. And that is, don’t talk. If the cops come out, they are trained in how to get people to talk. They’re gonna have a sense of urgency, and they’re gonna want to ask questions. They’re gonna wanna help you clear your name. They’re going to help you get it off your chest or shave your chest, or whatever it may be.

You’ve gotta remember that that doesn’t change your rights. You have the right to remain silent. You have the right to have a lawyer present. Nothing changes.
